Chiltern celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.
Over the years Chiltern grew steadily and in 2018 reached the peak of its success with 5 depots, 60+ trucks and 300 employees.
This success has given the directors of the business, Paul Jackson and John Davidson, the opportunity to look at the company and make very strategic decisions on how to best serve the business, our clients and our employees.
They soon realised that to enable the business to be successful, flourish and continue to be different to our competitors in the industry changes would need to be made.

Dave Boss started with Chiltern at the Corby site in May of 1999. Prior to joining Chiltern Dave served in the Royal Navy. When interviewing Dave we promised him two things:

Chiltern was pleased to assist Crisis at Christmas at the end of 2017.
Their goal is to end homelessness. A tall order. We were thrilled to offer ambient, chilled, and frozen storage as they worked to provide support to over 4000 people throughout Britain. Food, warmth and vital services can be the first steps out of homelessness.
Chiltern has joined forces with Atlas Genetics and Rohlig UK in order to provide a temperature controlled pharmaceutical transportation and storage solution ex Kings Lynn to the USA.
Atlas Genetics are in the process of trialing a revolutionary new human disease detection system in the USA. Rohlig, who is there global forwarding partner chose Chiltern to undertake the UK supply chain leg of the journey.
The process involved collecting devices from a manufacturing site in Kings Lynn, storing loading into an insulated large pallet shipper for onward delivery to the British Airways Cargo centre at Heathrow.
Chiltern is pleased to pledge support to Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Peterborough with a 1-year fundraising commitment.

Chiltern was at Truckfest Peterborough over the bank holiday weekend - April 30/May 1. A record number of trucks were in attendance - 2500+ - 5 of which were from the Chiltern fleet.
Tomasz, Wojciech, Paul, Thiago and Paul J showcased their trucks for the 1000s of people in attendance over the weekend.
Truckfest is a transport festival focused on trucks and the haulage industry. As well as trade stands and music entertainment. Highlights of the shows are displays of customised trucks and monster trucks.
